What excitement!! today we had our first service in our new Church building. About 3 weeks ago the owner of a small church building contacted us about buying his building. I sent a letter out to some select few and received not only the money for the building but also repairs funds. We paid for the building on Monday and were able to collect the keys on Friday afternoon. Saturday some of the men worked on taking the old plaster off the outside of the building to prepare the wall for new plastering. So it was with great excitement that we entered the church this morning. The inside walls still need paint, but we have a pulpit and benches. We began the program with a kids story and then Gefrey preached. We had three men from the United Baptist Church, with whom we have associated ourselves, at the service. It was great. After the service these men stayed behind and gave some advise and we discussed about the leadership of this new church. Gefrey has been asked to live in the church house and be the leader while Periperi is to be a deacon. The next great event will be on next Sunday when we go the Caia for the baptism of 5 people!!
